Brittany Crocker

Brittany Crocker joined Piper Communications in April 2023 as a media relations manager. She develops and executes public relations strategies for clients in the energy and technology sectors. 

Brittany previously served as managing editor for two military finance publications and reported on energy, science and nuclear security for the Knoxville News Sentinel, USA Today and several trade publications. During her early journalism career, Brittany’s investigative work exposed organized crime, hate groups and deadly regulatory oversights in the childcare, aviation and tourism industries, influencing life-saving policy changes. Brittany was born and raised in Knoxville. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, completing her graduate studies in 2016 as a White House Press Correspondents Association Scholar. 

When she’s not working at Piper Communications, Brittany serves as a reserve military public affairs officer and dives for the local rescue squad. She enjoys gardening, working out and spending time with her family and their menagerie of household pets.
