Hannah Whitson

Hannah joined Piper Communications in 2021 and currently serves as Senior Media Relations and Events Manager. Her responsibilities include public relations planning, media auditing, project management, client research, content creation and developing media pitching strategy.

Prior to joining Piper Communications, Hannah worked as a public relations specialist for Regal Cinemas, where she led national campaigns, maximized media relationships, managed the Regal Foundation and directed crisis communications. Preceding her time at Regal, she worked as a public relations affiliate in various industries ranging from industrial manufacturing to collegiate recruitment.

Originally from Kingsport, she further rooted herself in East Tennessee by attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. During her time as a Volunteer, she received a dean’s citation of professional promise and Carroll J. Bateman’s public relations graduate of the year award. Hannah successfully graduated with a B.S. degree in Public Relations and a Minor in Business Administration. 

When she’s not working, she’s volunteering with Variety, the Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee, traveling to watch her siblings play sports at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and catching the latest blockbuster.
